Production and processing

As to preserve the genetic features of our seeds, Caussade Semencesrelies on a network of 600 seed producers with high technical standards. In total, almost 10,000 hectares are sown each year. The follow-up of production areas is carried out by our high experienced technicians.
Maize, sunflower, rapeseed, cereals, forage grasses and leguminous fodder plants… most of the genetics marketed by Caussade Semences is produced in France under very strict specifications. Moreover, rigourous internal controls and official inspections are both carried out to maintain top quality and traceability standard.
Thus, Caussade Semences laboratory, entitled by the Ministry of Agriculture, executes more than 60,000 analyses a year to guarantee the high germinative value and the purity of its varieties.
Finally, in order to preserve the genetic and physiological resources of the seeds, Caussade Semences, thanks to its five state-of-the-art production sites in France, offers a processing capacity of more than one million maize units.
Development
Our Development department acts as an intermediate between Research and Marketing.
In order to convey the genetic progress and to grasp the specific needs of the different sectors, Caussade Semencescan rely on specialized engineers and technicians.
The Development team closely works with the Research department. The department validates the agronomical characteristics of the varieties and checks the intrinsic features of the harvested products to answer different fields expectations.
The large number of trials (more than 350) led in the different regions, often in partnership with numerous technical institutes, guarantees a good adaptation of our varieties to the local soil and climatic conditions, meeting the requirements of each farming system.
